Compositing In-camera and on iPad

Compositing (layering images on top of each other) is a magnificent playground of creativity, exploration, unexpected outcomes, and experimentation. It is possible to make composite images in several ways and we’ll explore multiple options for making compilation images.

Workshop Highlights

  • We will cover compositing in-camera with multiple exposures functionality.

  • We will cover compositing in Snapseed (Android/iPad), PicsArt (Android/iPad), and Superimpose X (iPad) as well as the other functionality of these apps.

  • We’ll talk about composites as an artistic journey and self-expression.

  • Weekly homework assignments.

  • One year access to recordings.

  • In-depth sharing and critique from instructor & participants.

Technology Considerations

  • Sony cameras do not have Multiple Exposure functionality. OM system cameras have it, but it’s limited.

  • All apps will work on iPad. Snapseed & Picsart will work on Android tablet & both iPhone & Android smartphones. We’ll work in Superimpose X the last session, so those without an iPad can skip this session if desired.

Costs

  • $350 for MPA Members / $390 for non-MPA

Cancellation

  • 100% refund if we cancel for any reason.

  • 100% refund if you cancel on or prior to August 9, 2026.

  • No refunds after August 9, 2026, unless we fill your spot, in which case, we will issue a 100% refund.
